What's New at the Barn
What's new at the barn!!!
We have started showing this year. I have had my horses now for 3 years. This has allowed us to train and work with all the horses. Gem showed at the 4H field day put on at Grove River Ranch March 29th 2008. She was a huge hit. Gem had only been riding for one month and she was more behaved than the older more trained horses.
Thanks Mele Miller for showing and riding Gem. Without you I wouldn't be able to show. You are a great friend. You help so much with your encouragement and support.
Thanks to Donna Kelly and Michelle Ford for always being there and helping me out. Thanks to Trish (Bob's sister) for making me laugh and helping with the stress after I locked my keys in the truck. My information to read for the show was in my truck and I had to wing it. I whispered things to say in Michelle's ear as she spoke through the microphone. You guys are great friends. It gets stressful when you are emotionally involved showing your babies.
Thanks to my wonderful husband for allowing me to follow my dreams and for supporting me financially and emotionally. He drove all the way back home to get the extra truck keys. I could not ask for anyone better in which to share my life.
Keep looking for us. We will be at Stephens County for the Farm Bureau Day for the 3rd graders again this year. The kids love the horses. It is so much fun to see the smiles on their faces. We will be showing and doing all we can to promote this wonderful breed of horse.
We have a few more changes this year. We sold Snickers to a wonderful family in Marrietta. They fell in love with her and they are wonderful people and will give her a great home. She is at Ed Huey's being trained to ride. Then her and her new mom Selece will be great trail riding buddies. You can read the story in it's entirity on Snickers page.
You can read how well Bella is doing on her Bella's Page.
